TURBO TIMEQ:
What does the FST get for gas mileage? Does it need any changes to go from the Midwest to the mountains? AmSnow.com member Sledlover
Polaris Engineer's Answer: Fuel economy is highly dependent on trail conditions and riding style. In our testing, fuel economy on the FST models has ranged from 15 to 20 mpg, depending on how the sled was being ridden. One great feature of the FST's fuel injection system is that it automatically compensates for temperature and altitude - so you'll always have easy starts, smooth power and great mileage no matter where you are. As for other adjustments, depending on the type of riding you'll be doing, the clutch will likely need adjustment for large changes in topography. These fast, easy adjustments can best be made by a dealer.
