Q: My sled has been rebuilt stock except for a 0.06 head gasket (one wafer of tin layer). What octane fuel should I run and what ignition timing setting will give me the best performance? I have been contemplating doubling the head gaskets and installing nitrous and porting. - Can't Be Scared

A: Use a minimum of 93 octane if not a 50/50 mix with race gas. There should be no more than 3 degrees advanced on the timing, but I would leave it stock for the minimal gain that you'll get. - Hauck Powersports Inc.
