arctic cat unleashes a new jaguar

Amsnow
Just off the Thief River assembly line comes a brand new Suzuki powered 4-stroke set in an entirely new Twin Spar chassis. It's Cat's new Jaguar, an early-release '07.

Arctic Cat says this is a new sled from the ground up.

"You don't know how bad we were biting our tongues on this stuff last year because we knew it was in the pipeline," says Kale Wainer, Cat's public relations director.

The Jaguar has a twin parallel 4-stroke engine designed purely for snowmobiles. The new Jag has extremely low emissions, a linear power band and really winds out at the top end.

Set to rival the trail-proven Genesis 120 4-stroke engines from Yamaha, Cat and Suzuki intend this sled to be very competitive. AmSnow took an early test drive on the Jaguar in December and it seemed to have adequate power for the larger, more adjustable and more aesthetically pleasing chassis. There also is plenty of room in the bulkhead for a possible turbo or other add-ons.

The new sled has a totally adjustable handlebar, riser, seat, and windshield system called Infinite Rider Position (IFP).

Here are a few specs to whet your appetite. Look for more details coming soon to our Website and in our spring issue. We also will have a full breakdown in our Fall Buyers Guide, available in August.
