arctic cat releases two new sleds
Amsnow
The two late-release 2001 1/2 sleds from Arctic Cat are a ZL 600 EFI SS LE and a ZR 500 LE.
ZL 600 EFI SS LE
This one comes in a metallic burnt orange color, similar to the Ford Explorer Sport-Trac. It features Smart Ride Suspension in the rear- which is a computer-controlled shock system that runs right off the lighting circuit. It takes 1000 readings per second from a magnet on the piston which senses piston position and shock speed. From that information, the valves either open or close to adjust the damping of the shock. This feature is similar to that found on some Mercedes vehicles. The front suspension features Arctic Cat shocks.
ZR 500 LE
The ZR 500 LE has Sno Pro handlebars with the riser block and handlebar hooks. The track has bigger lugs than the 2001 ZR 500 measuring 1 1/4-inches tall. To keep better traction, Cat has put its wide runningboards on the ZR 500 LE. It also has the pipe temperature sensor.
According to Cat officials, these two sleds will be available from your dealer late January-early February 2001 in very limited quantities. Pricing information is not available at this time.
