Arctic Cat stated last month that its 2004 Turbo and Trail model four-stroke snowmobiles meet the Environmental Protection Agency's strict emission standards for 2012.

The EPA adopted new emission standards in 2002 for snowmobiles and other recreational vehicles to reduce air pollution. Manufacturers are required to meet the standards by 2006, with the requirements becoming more stringent by 2012.
