New are 800 and 1000cc 2-stroke engines in the Firecat, Crossfire and M-series, a new Jaguar Z1 with a 1056cc twin 4-stroke that puts out 125 horses, a new retro-looking Panther, and a completely new "Twin Spar" chassis for the Jaguar and Firecat line!
All will agree that this is the biggest new Arctic Cat product offering.
Jaguar 4-stroke The new Cat comes with a Suzuki powered 4-stroke set in a new Twin Spar chassis and is a totally new sled from the ground up. The Jaguar's twin parallel engine was purpose-built for this sled and isn't a derivation of a motorcycle engine. It has a very linear power band and the Jaguar's emissions are lower than the current T660.
Pouncing forward The Twin Spar chassis is a new riding position. The rider can sit higher and more forward than any previous Cat, but it's not a REV riding position.
Cat fashioned its own version of an adjustable steering post and handlebar system and added an adjustable seat. The combined options are called the IRP System - Infinite Rider Position System. To add to the adjustable handlebar system, Cat integrated a moveable seat and an adjustable windshield and headlights.
FirecatsNew for '07 are the F8 and F1000.
The famous performance machines get two beefy new engines this year and the entire Firecat line will be set in the new Twin Spar chassis. And yes, there will be a Sno Pro model in each of the engine classes.
Crossfire The Crossfires for '07 include new 500, 800 and 1000 versions. All the Crossfires stay in the combined M/F-series chassis that they were in last year and have Sno Pro packages available.
