arctic cat elects new chairman of board

Arctic Cat's Chief Executive Officer, Christopher A. Twomey, was elected chairman of the board by the company board of directors, Aug. 13. Twomey succeeds William J. Ness who retired as chairman of the board and now serves as vice chairman of the board.
"I've been honored to serve as chairman for the past 20 years and to participate in Arctic Cat's growth," Ness said in a press release. "Chris has done an outstanding job during his tenure as chief executive, and his leadership as chairman of the board will serve the company well."
Twomey became Arctic Cat's president and CEO in 1986. Since then, the company's revenue has grown from $25.5 million to $577 million fiscally in 2003.
"I am excited by our opportunities to further extend our technology leadership position and expand our market share in all-terrain vehicle and snowmobile markets," Twomey said in the press release.
