In honor of American Snowmobiler magazine's 15th season, we have done some remodeling. "Over the years, we have strived to keep our look fresh and clean, and in step with current design trends," said Publisher Jerry Bassett. "I think readers will appreciate the cleaner appearance of our pages. They will find all of the same in-depth, candid editorial they have become used to, with a few visual twists."
In addition to the new appearance in the first issue, American Snowmobiler will give its readers exclusive test information on a sled not available to any other source in the world- the 2001 Scorpion TKX 890! AmSnow Test Riders Les Pinz and Wade West made a red eye test trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota late last spring with a crew from Performance Engineering to get the job done. "It was an exciting, last minute trip," explained Test Rider Wade. "They called, and twelve hours later, we were in a truck, heading west with the TKX in tow. The conditions weren't great, and we had a lot of tuning to do, since it was the first time the guys from the dealership had run the sled in the snow.
"It's also pretty exciting to deliver information to our readers that they won't find anywhere else. I hope they enjoy the test report and photos as much as we enjoyed putting this story together."
Accompanying the Scorpion TKX Test Track is another exclusive- a full Dyno Page on the PSI-designed 890 Genesis engine. Wanna see them? Use our archive search.
Print magazine subscribers can expect the full issue to arrive in their mailboxes by August 1. It's packed with a complete Buyers Guide of 2001 models, 800 triple comparo report, How Tos, Tech Notes and much more! We'll continue to post some of the key articles in the coming weeks. Stay tuned…
