ad boivin introduces zx2 suspension

AD Boivin, the manufacturer of the famous Snow Hawk snowmachines and Expert X suspension, introduced a new composite plastic snowmobile suspension this week. The engineers at AD Boivin have produced a UHMV, weld free, lightweight suspension that can be ordered to fit sleds from all four manufacturers. At only 53 lbs., for the 121-inch version, this suspension will chop plenty of pounds off your old sled. There are several versions available that will fit up to a 162-inch skid.

AD Boivin boasts that its new ZX2 suspension will work for any type of rider in any trail condition. The longest and heaviest version only weighs 156 lbs. Boivin's Website says the UHMV suspension cuts down on vibration and flexes through difficult trail conditions to reduce harsh feedback to the driver. KYB shocks sit in the suspension and are valved so that the suspension is both comfortable and does not bottom out in the big aggressive mogul fields.

Adjusting the suspension is said to be quite easy and can be done in minutes. The only tool needed is a simple key that is provided. Spring preload is set with this key, whereas transfer can be changed quickly by changing small pins in Boivin's patented Revolver system. Track tension can be changed like other suspensions by adjusting two bolts on either side of the rear axle.

The ZX2 suspension will be available in 6 colors - black, white, yellow, red, blue and green - and if you order one before May 31st, you will save $300 off the sticker price. Which brings the price to $899 for a black 121-incher. For more info on pricing and ordering, visit www.adboivin.com.
