More than 400 vintage sleds and more than 4,000 people participated in the 15th annual Midwest Vintage Snowmobile Show Ride-In on Minnesota's Waconia Lake recently. The event featured a massive swap meet of parts, sleds and memorabilia, along with a trail ride and drag race featuring vintage sleds. In the 25 classes of vintage racing, there were 250 entries.
Saturday's events also featured an evening banquet with several speakers, including Polaris founder David Johnson and his family as well as Snowmobile Club of America's president David Guenther.
Sunday was the big show with more than 125 awards in almost 30 different sled classes. Next year's event is set for Jan. 28-29.
