Check out the 24th Annual Ride with the Champs by HotDawg Garage Heaters this Thursday, Feb. 22nd, in St. Germain, Wis. A group of celebrities and Hall of Famers will be at this great event. The confirmed list includes Hall of Famer, Olav Aaen of Kenosha, Wis., Mike Campbell of Eagle River, Wis., Jon and Robert Carlson of Charlotte, N.C., and Scottsdale, Ariz., Bobby Donahue of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Russ Ebert of Thief River Falls, Minn., Doug and Stan Hayes of Crandon and Horicon, Wis., Kirk Hibbert of Thief River Falls, Minn., Roger Janssen of Crookston, Minn., Mark Maki of Inver Grove Hts, Minn., Blair Morgan, WSA Snowcross multiple Champion, Brian Nelson of Spicer, Minn., Perry Schlueter of Dakota, Ill., Roger Skime of Thief River Falls, Minn., and John Wicht III, and this list is of only Feb. 16th.
Come join in the fun and end the day with the Induction Banquet at the Eagle River Inn. Two ride groups will be for vintage sleds, and some 25-30 are expected to be John Deere supporters as Robert Carlson, the man responsible for the Deere snowmobile, will be inducted along with Mark Maki, Kirk Hibbert and Dick Gokey. Of the vintage group, most will be riding their trusty John Deeres from the 1970's.
The $100 registration fee covers breakfast, lunch and the induction banquet. Everything starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Eagle River Inn. Guides take the four rider groups on a day-long ride with a fish fry lunch at Bosacki's Boathouse in Minocqua. All rider groups visit the Hall of Fame and Museum in St. Germain on Hwy 70 W.
The World PowerSports National Snowcross Tour begins in Eagle River on Friday, February 23rd, so it will be snowmobile busy!
