Polaris 2014 IQ 600R Race Sled
THE IQ RACER IS STILL the same great sled you have seen on the snocross track for more than seven years, but the new one is packed full of upgrade. Changes include: a new lightweight crankshaft with a 2.5-pound reduction in rotating mass and a 25% reduction in inertia and better throttle response and acceleration. Think hole shot! Similar to Ski-Doo, the new IQ racer will have a new 128-inch skid with Sno-XT track…which means more traction, more stability with less ski lift and more grip through the corners. This is similar to Polaris’ mod class rear suspension with new rail beams and tunnel components to accommodate the length. There is also a new shock calibration in the 16-click compression-adjustable Walker Evans Aluminum IFP Racing shocks done in coordination with engineers from W.E. and the Polaris race teams. Hayes supplies the braking for the IQ racer and there is a new Type 126 brake pad that was developed to deliver consistently reliable braking and increased brake pad life. There’s plenty of bold new graphics here too and the new IQ racer features a white hood, red belly pan, a new low white windsheild and lots of new cool graphics. The race sled was developed for use by Polaris snocross AND cross-country racers, and there will be recommendations for racers from Polaris’ racing department for both disciplines.
