TRAILS or POWDER, these do-it-all sleds will tackle either. Go boondocking in deep snow or trail ride with 136- to 144-inch tracked sleds, while enjoying mountain AND trail ergos. Versatility is the name of the game with these longer-tracked hybrid sleds.
Arctic Cat – XF 1100 Turbo Sno Pro High Country (or Limited), XF 1100 Turbo Sno Pro (Limited and standard), XF 1100 Turbo LXR, XF 800 Sno Pro High Country (or Limited), XF 800 Sno Pro (Limited or standard), XF 800 LXR, XF 1100 Sno Pro (Limited and standard), XF 1100 LXR ... With 141-inch tracks and riding in the new-last-year extended ProCross chassis these crossovers are ready for winter. The new CrossTours are a mix of trail, crossover, touring, and utility sled in one and could have been in those segments as well. Check them out in our Trail Luxury / EnduroVenture segment. In the crossover segment LXRs are a little less off-trail focused and the High Country is more deep-snow targeted. The Sno Pros are built to take extra punishment.
Polaris – 800 Switchback Assault, 800 Switchback Pro-R, 800 Switchback, 600 Switchback Pro-R, 600 Switchback, 550 IQ Shift 136 ... The 800 Assault Switchback combines Pro-Ride suspension technology with RMK mountain sled DNA, Walker Evans shocks, and a 144-inch track. The 800 and 600 Switchback Pro-R and standard sleds ride in the new-last-year Rush extended chassis. The 550 IQ Shift 136 remains, obviously, in the IQ chassis. The new Switchback Adventure sleds could fit here, but are sleds that we’ve put in our new Trail Luxury / EnduroVenture segment.
Ski-Doo – Renegade Backcountry 800R and 600 H.O. E-TEC, Renegade Adrenaline 800R and 600 H.O. E-TEC and 1200 4-TEC, Renegade Sport 600 ACE and 550 ... Ski-Doo put the rMotion suspension into both the Backcountry and Adrenaline lines this year. The 1.75-inch lugged Backcountry is mainly for off-trail folks, the Adrenaline is trail targeted, and the Sport is less powerful, but still quite maneuverable. The 4-TEC models get the new eDrive 2 drive clutch this year.
Yamaha – Apex XTX, Nytro XTX, Nytro XTX 1.75 ... The new Nytro 1.75 comes with a Backcountry 1.75-inch lugged track, and the Nytro remains Yamaha’s best crossover for off-trail action. The 144-incher is long, but still a solid trail sled due to its tipped-up rail. The grunty 3-cylinder 4-stroke won’t fail you in the deep off-trail snow. Apex XTX also is a 144-incher with even more power, and a tipped-up rail, plus is incredibly smooth on the trails as well.
