Final words
This is usually the part where we list dozens of things we dislike about the sled, but there are only a couple quirks we don’t like about the Renegade. First, the wind deflection could be better still, especially for taller people over 6-foot. With the medium windshield we had most of the time, the wind hit taller people in their upper chest and right under the chin a lot.
In addition, the Renegade does not carve very well off-trail. That wide and planted XS front end is a hindrance here and unpredictable when you attempt to sidehill in powder. But this is mostly a trail sled and therefore a lack of carving capability is less noteworthy than in more off-trail oriented crossover sleds.
Installing the LED lighting system is not exactly ‘easy’ like it said in the brochure. Assume it will take a first timer over an hour, if you do not have a nice heated shop and all the correct tools at hand. Check out the video we did on this install, the LinQ system and a larger windshield on our 600 MXZ.
