Yamaha shines a light on its touring sled for 2012.
The RS Venture GT receives upgrades and the EPS system to lighten the steering effort on this two-up cruiser. Also helping are the new skis and third generation front steering geometry. Plus Venture features new handlebars that are moved 20mm further away from the driver for better ergonomics. There’s a new look too. The 2012 color is black and candy red.
Yamaha also will continue to offer the RS Venture without EPS as a value sled for cruisers wanting a 4-stroke engine at a lower price. Last year that was $10,499 US, about $1,100 less than the GT. No word yet on 2012 pricing.
For touring folks out West, the Venture Lite, based on the Phazer platform, will continue with a new Topaz blue paint scheme.
Yamaha’s lone utility model remains the popular RS Viking Professional, the only change being its color, going from white to a sparkling candy red.
