Second opinion

“This new mountain segment is great! You get all the tech of a high-end mountain sled in a beefier package. They weigh more, but for me, the reinforced chassis, wider stance and stouter tracks are worth it. The Freeride and Assault have edgier graphics than their lighter-weight mountain specific siblings, and appeal to those who want to go big and look good. The Cat is more race-orientated and reflects that in its classic green. I applaud the OEMs as these are ready to rip as is. As an aging “big mountain freerider” I appreciate the options on these box stockers. I used to buy a sled and then spend a fortune in aftermarket parts. Now the OEM’s do the work and cut my costs in these thoughtfully crafted sleds.” – Josh Skinner, AmSnow Mtn.Test Rider
