The verdict?

Polaris is still producing powerful 600s. With a pull of 123.5 hp at 7,700 rpm the Rush is definitely a grunty 600. While this is slightly lower than what we saw in the former CFI 4-injector motor, it's certainly still potent. Rush also garnered 85.3 ft.-lbs. of torque, which is more than we've seen from any recent Polaris 600.

Rush production updates

After picking up our Rush we noticed a few differences from the pre-production sleds. One, the super small windshield, reminds us that the sleds we test each March can always change before they come off the production line in fall.

We knew our production sled would come with new skis, but these more resemble the mountain RMK skis we had on the pre-pro sleds, and take a page from aftermarket skis such as C&A. They are wider than many stock trail skis and have a large, wide, deep keel that should keep Rush planted and its handling positive. We also noted subtle changes like a different collar for the rear suspension preload adjustment and the under seat storage bag. We had heard the bag was going to be an accessory on the production sled, but now it's standard. Bonus!

Finally, it's nearly impossible to totally remove the side panels as the bottom tabs are "semi" permanent. Also, quickly removing the belt from the primary clutch may take some work on the trail.
