2006 nsa points championship at maryland international raceway

It was a hard fought battle on the tar last weekend in Maryland, but the NSA Points Championship was finally clinched by driver Jeremy Hannen of the San Marino Racing Team. Hannen held off the experienced Jason Dunigan of Dunigan Racing in a late night final round showdown on Saturday night.

There were plenty of high horsepower, fast flying Pro Stock sleds at MIR for the weekend with almost the entire field posting mid-high 8-second quarter mile times. The lowest E.T., highest top speed and best reaction time were all posted by Jason Dunigan, which made for an even more interesting finale. Dunigan's best E.T. was 8.508 seconds, top speed was 151.09 mph and best reaction time was .052 seconds.

If you haven't caught any NSA action this year, don't worry because these red hot sleds will be in action for the last race of the year on September 16th at New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. For more info visit the NSA Web site at www.nationalspeedassociation.com.
