To improve the SUV's rider enjoyment, Ski-Doo redesigned the seat shape and handlebars, raising them both for better ergonomics.

The front suspension features a unique pair of arched trailing arms. Ski-Doo explains that these are designed to protect them from rocks and stumps below the surface of unbroken snow.
Other design features to aid in backcountry trail blazing include the oversized 20x156x1.25-inch track for awesome flotation and propulsion in fresh snow. Wide plastic skis work to keep the nose end up in powder condition.

The articulated rear suspension uses a pair of hydraulic shocks to provide a plush ride on the trail.

Ski-Doo lists its top shelf Skandic SUV 600 at $8,299. There is also a 550 fan-cooled version of the sled available for $7,699.
