The rear suspension is upgraded from the Sport package. Under the tunnel, the Legend SE's SC-10 III skid offers a High Pressure Gas Variable Rate shock on the rear arm with a Motion Control VR shock on the front arm. The combination delivers a smooth ride over the short stutter bumps with solid performance through the deeper portions of the trail.

The engine's roughly 80-something horsepower is harnessed through the TRA IV primary clutch. The clutch is specifically designed and tuned to handle the demands of the torquey twin four stroker.

Reverse is handled through a mechanical system.
The Legend family is the last of Ski-Doo's models to be offered in the ZX chassis. For those who prefer the more traditional ride position and ergonomic features, this may be your last opportunity to buy such a sled.

The Legend V-1000 SE is not exactly a budget sled, but it does offer operational cost savings by not using injection oil and is fairly fuel efficient.
