2002 polaris xc 600

Amsnow
In another "revisiting" of our Shoot-Out model sleds, we brought a similar Polaris 600 XC SP to our Area 330 test facility at the end of February in an effort to see what snow conditions at a different location might mean to one of our high-powered Shoot-Out models. As the informational box will show, the fact that our 600 XC SP was not studded had some effect. Note the differences in 0-60 feet times. The Shoot-Out model with a full complement of studs could hook up and move out. But pushing up to eight inches of snow kept our Area 330 test sled well under the top speeds of the grass and dirt test sled. Both elapsed time and miles per hour were quite different.

As you can see, what rolls well at one location may be quite another story on any other given day in a different location and under different circumstances. We like to check out our steeds for ourselves since we've learned that conditions do make a difference. Tomorrow we'll show you how much difference real snow and a change of venue makes with a high-powered 150-horsepower ZR 900.
