2000 class of convergence

The Final Word
Again, the 600 single pipe class is a close group. All have suspension systems capable of managing the gory ditches of the upper midwest, as well as the smoother trails of the eastern markets. Our ranking decision came down to individual qualities of each sled. The Polaris 600 XC SP, with its new-found power pulled slightly ahead in our testers' eyes. Ski-Doo and Yamaha came in too tightly to call with their respective strengths- Ski-Doo's killer suspensions and handling; Yamaha's smooth delivery, driver comfort and lower price tag. Cat's ZR 600 is not far behind them with its new styling and delightful EFI package. That's how we called them.
