Colorado native, Chris Burandt (Arctic Cat) takes the gold over Aleksander Nordgaard (Polaris) at the Winter X Games 11 this past weekend. His score? 96.33, over Nordgaard's 93.66. An impressive performance.
But Nordgaard, from Norway, has nothing to complain about. He unofficially broke the long distance backflip record at 106 ft. during his performance. Pretty good for someone who has just learned how to do snowmobile backflips in early Dec. '06.
Heath Frisby from Caldwell, Idaho, rode a Ski-Doo to take home the bronze medal. Also in the final four was Polaris rider Daniel Bodin, from Sweden, who was an alternate.
