Southfield, Michigan, February 5, 2013.Ross Martin's Championr spark plug-powered Polaris sled dominated Saturday night's Amsoil Championship Snocross Pro Open final in Deadwood, S.D., moving Martin and the Judnick Motorsports-owned team to within 23 points of the series lead with four weekends of competition remaining. Martin finished second in Friday night's final.
Martin, who started seventh in Saturday's main event, grabbed the lead on lap four and extended his advantage to 7 seconds at the finish. Martin's Polaris sled is equipped with "Performance DrivenT" Championr Copper Plusr spark plugs (part no. #RN57YCC) from Federal-Mogul (NASDAQ: FDML), the same plugs available through leading snowmobile dealers.
"Ross simply had the best-performing sled out there in (Saturday's) final. It was a very technical track and there was a lot of lapped traffic, but every time he got on the throttle, he just pulled away from the rest of the field," said Champion Product Manager Michael Kollenberg.
The Amsoil series continues this weekend with Turtle Creek's U.S. 27 Motorsports Snocross event in Traverse City, Mich.
