I heard yesterday that cat will not floor 2010 cats for dealers. Is cat in trouble?

isn;t it G.E financial floor plans etc and other institutions that do the floor plans..??..it would be them in trouble...not cat..??

I know GE is still doing powersports floor planning, however, Textron is no longer dealing in powersports.
Cat does there floor plan with Textron and they are parting ways at the end of 2009. That is what I heard from a friend of mine who owns a Cat dealer in Minnesota. So hopefully Cat will find another company to do there floorplan by then.

The problem we're seeing up here in Canada is that GE isn't taking on any new clients. I know of some dealers that only dealt with Textron and now are stuck with no floor planning options. I have heard that some banks will help with the financing, however the banks do not really understand the business of floor planning. I have heard that Cat dealers will be good until the end of '09 then will have to find other floor planning options. This will leave alot of dealers at a huge disadvantage.
