As the tiltle says Which Primary Clutches fits a 05 kk
Did some damage to my primary clutch. Can I use a primary from a m8
or any other cat or am I limited to 2005 900 king kat?

M8 is different not sure how though. One from and M6 or 7 will fit but has an offset of about 1/10 inch. Any from an 800 or 900 cat from 02 up will fit. The ZR 900 will also fit but is a larger diameter. If your inner sheave is still good you could replace all the outer parts from a different clutch. Hope this helps.

ICM1, is that a tenth inbound or outbound? Didn't know a M6 or 7 had a 33mm snout? Wahl bros still sells the 6 post ZR clutch which I thought was a 8" clutch, but guess they were 8.25" or larger, Huh! Thanks Mike

It is farther away from the engine. The M sleds have a frame piece that fits between the engine and the clutch. More room needed.

Cant really tell by looking at them, they all look identical but as said the F/M/CFR 6/7 clutches stick out a little. I have used them and just shimmed out my secondary 1/10th if it even needed it.

Only problem is that the clutch and belt have a greater leverage point to snap the end of the crank off if there is a stress riser? I would look for a clutch that was made for it with a 33mm crank snout? Indy Dan may have some? He used to sell these clutches for the 900 Polaris using his cranks! They would be well balanced and ready to go! Mike

m8 clutch

Ive been running M8 clutches on my KCs for years no problem. Adjust your offset and run it. I started running the one my 1150 first because I liked the shorter pins that didn't allow the O rings to fly off.
