My brother in law bought a 96 XCR 600 awhile back.. It has SLP rail extensions and a different track, but I am trying to determine what size track it had stock and what it has been extended to.. I do not know the process for measuring to see what length a track is. It cant be extended by too much since it still has the stock tunnel extension and couldnt be more than a 136.. Can anyone tell me how to find this out? Thank you

They came with a 121" x 15 track and a .82" lug. Measure the length of the extension and double it, then add to the base of 121" to get the size of what is on there now.

I thought that they came with a 121 track, but had no way to verify.. As stated it has an SLP extension on it and a different track, but still has the stock tunnel extension.. What can be done to extend this out to a 144 or 151? Get a whole different rear skid?

Get a 144" Xtra-lite skid and have at it. Lighter and more travel then the Xtra-10 skid.

I have seen the sled a few times, but never looked at it too much.. I am trying to find this info out for him.. He went and measured the SLP extensions which are on it now and they measured out at 11.5 inches a pieces, so per the calculations given before, if this has a 121 skid and you take the length of the rail extensions and multiply by 2, it is saying this has a 144 track under it now.. I didnt see a 121-144 extension offered through SLP which SLP is what he has on it.. Again I didnt really look the sled over and it has been awhile since I seen it but, what is he doing wrong? There is no way it has a 144 under it..I did notice that much..:D

Maybe he measured the overall length of the extension rather than how far the rear axle actually moved backward from it's original position. Then double that measurement. Sorry, I wasn't very clear on how to measure it previously.

Yea thats what he did..:D I had him measure the other way you mentioned and it comes out about 5 or so inches so I am guessing he has a 133 under it?

What kind of rear skid is under the XCR?? xtra 10 or xtra 12 or?? He said it doesnt say anywhere on the tunnel.

Thanks for all the help so far
