Hello Team!

I have a trusty 2001 Polaris RMK 800 and found this part lying in the engine compartment below the clutch and have no idea what it is or if it is important. The sled has been working just fine without it.

I haven't done any major work to the sled myself since I bought it in 2005, but I did have a shop do some work on it, including replacing a broken spring in the clutch.

Note: For some reason the photo is turned 90˚ counter clockwise. The penny is in the photo just for size reference.

Just from the picture it looks like a clutch spacer.
THe one that goes inside the driven Clutch.

Yup, X2, without it you will have zero float on the secondary / driven clutch. Most like to see between 1/32"-1/16" of float (side to side movement). The shop who did your clutch work is not very detail oriented if they overlooked that.
