I'm over 300 with all my gear, and have a few customers the same. we all run the .359 wire with 47 degree angle. adds considerably more pre-load, does away with the dead travel at the top of the stroke also. I ran mine on the softest setting with our valving in the stock shock, and also on the soft setting with z-broz clicker rear.

with proper shock set up you shouldn't need the .405 stuff....let the shock do more work and you'll be happier in the end!

OK - Been doing a little investigating. If you look at the polaris parts catalog web page - address above in another post. The Assault (which I hope arrives soon) comes stock with the .375/77 springs - if you click on the usage link, it lists all the other model sleds that use the same part. I did this and you can find the .405/77 spring listed as optional parts for the other model sleds that use the .375/77 but it is not listed as a optional spring for the Assault, if the .375/77 is interchangeable with the .405/77 in other models but not the Assualt - weird, why would that be?

You know I've been fighting a saggin dragon for awhile now. I constantly bottom out. Here is the kicker...I only weigh 185 with all my gear....I complained to the dealer and he sent back my shocks to be redone by W/E. Put the new shocks on and still saggin. I was at the snow show in Denver 2wks ago and picked up a pair of used HD springs. I don't know what size they are but the definately stiffer. To my surprise the saggin is gone!! However, now I am concerned with the rebound. I do a lot of cuff jumping and I dont want to get bounced off...How would you determine the size of the springs? I checked for numbers and none to be found. This is on 08 D8 163.

you need to use a caliper to measure the size

My expierience with .405 springs on the IQ is that they are to wide and rub on the upper idler wheels, keeping the wheels from turning freely. I have actually found flat spots on my wheels from not being able to spin.

2004 Switchback Big Boy Springs???

Will the .405 77 degree torsion springs work on a 2004 700 Switchback? I'm 300# with gear on and need something to keep me from constantly bottoming out. I put a set of those springs on a 2000 RMK 700 and they worked great for me on that sled.

If they don't work does anyone having any other suggestions or opinions to help (besides a strict diet)?

I have a 2009 Assault and I cannot get my rear shock/track/suspension to "sag" within polaris's limits. I don't weight enough at 185 no gear. Thinking of trying the lighter spring. Does anyone have the sotck Dragon springpart number or have a set they want to sell me?

11 7041627-067 Spring, Torsion, .347/77, Blk, LH [Opt] 1 Usage
11 7041943-067 Spring, Torsion, .375/77, Blk, RH [Std] 1 Usage

11 7041942-067 Spring, Torsion, .375/77, Blk, LH [Std] 1 Usage

I have a set on eBay right now which should be one step lighter than what standard lists here( .359/77). I am looking for the set you have on your sled now(.375 /77). Let me know if you would like to work some kind of trade and I will pull the auction on eBay ( link to my ebay auction )

Not a problem. I understand completely. If they don't sell on the auction maybe we can work something out where you could try before you buy.

I have another set that I believe would be even lighter also up on auction. Someone who know much more about the subject may need to correct me but I think these would be lighter than the other springs we spoke of.

Polaris Torsion Spring Set .359 Sq 85 degree

I have a set of the .405's coming but I am nervous they may be a little too stiff...even for my fat arse...lol
