anyone ever try the anyone ever try the slp's on a 1000ish big bore? I have a 1010 D&D and the D&D twins are rediculously loud. I have some slp twins for my 900 here that are mucho quieter.

Some people I have talked to say that they work but only at High Alt.

mine work great at low al. im just tuning in my 990 with them and it was easy sound good to.

what are you considering low elevation? I am at a minimum of about 3500 with most riding from 4-7k.

We've got SLP's on our 1500 triple (975 in a twin) and they seem to be working just fine so far.

anyone ever tighten up their D&D pipes? mine are great down low, but get fat fast at elevation.

what is the lowest you have ridden?
I do most of my riding at 5-8k but a lot of our trail heads are at 2500-3000ft. I would hate to pinch it on the ride in. I might just put a pipe nipple in the pipe and check my pressure. the d&d's are wicked to about 4500ft then fizzle out, my slps did not ever seem to vary much on my 900.

A buddy is running slp twins on his ub 1150 and has no complaints. Ride on the west side of the hill here so elevation is 3-7k. May not give the best performance but they work, can't hurt to try if you already have them.

has he put bigger stingers on it? if not does he limp it at low elevation? if the slps work I will have a good set of D&D big bore pipes for sale/trade. they are too loud for me.

I don't know about the stingers, but I doubt it. He dosn't seem to limp around much. He said things get a little warm on the trail 1200ish but only 1100 or so on the hills. He dose mix 50/50 with 114.

I ride an 04 kk w/a speed werks 1000 twin slps and they work great although I also have dialajets for quick altitude adjustments but i rarely have to use them 6,000 to 10,000 feet

to the guys that are running them, what are you doing for jetting? my 900 w/slp's was actually jetted fatter then my big bore w/ D&D's.
