I just sold my T-Nytro and was looking to go lighter(I did EVERYTHING:mad: to lighten up the nytro) I am addicted to power:D so the sled I choose will have boost. Which of the AC's would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance

You can't go wrong with a boosted m-8. My 8 is just as light as my old m7 with a bunch more power. There are way to many routes to go as far as turbo m8's and I'm shure everyone will chime it.

i have had 2 boosted m8s this year 1 with pump gas and 1 with race gas, dont buy the pump gas kit i think its a waste of time after you rode a race kit at 12psi, the 6 psi will feel like a stocker after that. imo. had buddies with m1000t also and they were alot more finiky as compared to the m8. the 09m8 with race kit from bd would be my first choice, mine ran flawless with no adjusting needed period, just pull the rope and ride.

yes i would have to say the M8 is the way to go especially if your gonna go turbo... with the bump in hp on the M8 i'd say its the sled to buy even if your not going to turbo!!! wonder which sled would get the highmark now??? i know my buddies 07 M1000 will outclimb my 07 M8 everytime, would think the 2010 M8 30lbs lighter than the M1000 and just a couple of hp less power would be the king. the extra torque of the M1000 will be negated by the extra weight...

I was in the same boat allot of guys are making the switch. I like the M8's and D8's on boost my Nytro was fun on 18lbs but just not as fun as the two stroke in the woods. The M is super nice the Dragon I like because I don't have to mod the fuel system to run big boost.

I would get the mini intercooler or some sort of intercooler it does make a big differance.

I am coming off a Yamaha as well and ended up on a 2009 M8 Sno Pro. I just couldn't pull the trigger on boosting my RX-1M. It's afine sled and it's given me 7 years of trouble free service but, I also wanted something lighter too.

You may not even need boost. This may not sound like much but, if you put on a pipe, RK Tek head and port the cylinders you'll be right at 180+ hp without turbo issues.

Also Black Diamond now has the lightweight parts to take a 09 M8 153" down to 398 lbs. In my mind there is a benefit to having a naturally aspirated super lightweight sled making 180 hp.

Good luck

Damn near titanium everything! From replacement skid parts, a arms and nut/bolt packages for the entire sled, including internals, gears, rotor, etc. and a grade 8 strength I believe.

I have been on a M8T all year and my race gas Twisted 8 has been flawless all year . And i ran it on pump fuel for the last part of the year , just had to spend 75.00 on the accuator. I will be on an 09 M1T next season , my old lady will be on the 8 burning pump gas.

If you are a junky look at the M1000 and talk to Shain , the Twisted M1k's dont have all of the problems other brands do.:beer;
