not that i plan to ride trails all the time. but where i ride i have to run trails to all the off trail areas. my normal all day rides still consists of 25 to 30 miles of trails going from meadow to meadow and that sort of stuff. this includes crossing paved roads, hardpack, etc. which track would be the most durable as far as ripping lugs and folding over taking set. both tracks would be 2.25" on my crossfire.

A friend of mine has a 2000 Summit 151 with a 2" challenger and we do mostly off trail boondocking, however, like you, we sometimes have to take the trail or cross roads or even run lakes to get to the good stuff and his track has held up very well. I just bought an M7 141 that was trail ridden with a 2.25 Challenger track and the track looks like new. The lugs are a little bent but hardly noticeable. I have never tried a Power Claw so I can't comment on those.

The power claw does way better on the trail than the 2.25 challanger. It hooks up and pulls the skis in the air, the challanger I had before the Power Claw would just spin out.

This is a no brainer compared to the stock challenger, the powerclaw is way better. I ran the challenger for 2 years before I bought my 09 M8 and the powerclaw dominates it everywhere.

As for trails I dont notice that much difference. The A20 was a POS tho. Have 5000 miles on Challenger 2.5 144 on 2005 M7 and 1000 miles on 09 M8 with Powerclaw 153. The Challenger does well in powder but the Powerclaw shines. (BYW I'm a boondocker too)
