spi- nearly identical to stock, very reliable. dont use wisecos, everyone i know who uses them has trouble. wisecos are not casted pistons which some argue makes them much stronger which is true in a sense but they expand much quicker than than cast and tend to squeek more often. not warming them up sufficiently and running combustion temps a little on the high side will guarantee wiseco failure. they also expand more overall so they call for more cylinder clearance and this means machining stock cylinders and re nicasiling(read pain in the anoose)

get ur piston kit from tera elps do the up dated piston kit polaris runs worn out clearances on new pistons like .008 at top of piston u should only be .04 thou and also ur piston should be more square to the holeto allow less piston slap which is the reason polaris 800 often brk piston skirts the kit uses a alluminun cast allowpiston clean no friction reducers on the skirt as tha junk comes off thensend pistn kit to micro blu racing in the states and they coat them with a clear product that inpregnates t he pores of the meatal elimnating friction and is oly removed bymaching itoff thathelps to eliminate blow by on pistons it allso uses longer piston with spacer plate that lift gives it a extra 5 hp top end

This is a 7 year old thread you are commenting on. I'm just saying, it's a long summer ahead, maybe you should do something besides browsing back through YEARS of Snowest posts. :)
