Awesome sled, bulletproof motor. 975 was done by Idcatman1 and he did a superb job. Heavily ported by 'turbo tater'. You won't find a port job that even comes close to matching what wade does. I have more listed in the classifieds section, if you would like more info or pics you can PM or txt me.

Thanks for the plug, sorry to hear you are giving it up. I expect to still be riding mine for a while.

you know, i've been on a razors edge about this and i was saving the money to actually split 2 975 cases and put them together and make a triple (975 turned me into a HP whore just a sick set up)...But ran into some issues and have some dr bills to pay off yet... So I might be taking a season off...but the hiatus won't last long....

Any time Idcatman, thanks for the support. Both you and your son have helped quite a bit. I got plastics and a spare hood or 2 if you guys are needing to stock up on parts :D

04 kingcat 990

I have 04 kingcat 990 turbotater bigbore kit thing runs awesome turbotater really knows how to port cylinder understand port timing!!!!

need some lightweight goodies for it? maybe some bigger carbs? SLP twins with stingers out the shockwell?

What's left? Link to the sled or parts?
I did look in the classifieds.... But only found old posts using the search

there's a quick link to the thread in swapmeet.

The 975 is probably the most bulletproof big bore out there. It uses stock m1000 pistons. The jugs were ported by a gentleman on here who goes by the name of Turbotater. Great guy, did an outstanding guy. The case is drilled and has the oil delete kit installed. The jugs also have the STM powervalves so I there are no servos and stuff to worry about. I would like to get 3000 out of the complete motor including carbs, pipes, stingers, top end with mono head, bottom end, Filter pods, and all wiring and motor mounts w/slp torque arm

As far as lightweight parts I have

Ti jackshaft w/ lightweight rotor
Ti axle w/ avid extros
Composite chaincase
Carbon Fiber wheels
Trix billet spindles
Chromoly A arms
Chromoly steering hoop
153 PowerClaw
2009 rear skid with fox floats rails are slightly bent
SLP Powder Pros
VEI Hillcross tunnel with U-Cooler and VEI rear grab bar
SLP LED tail lights

Interested in....

Hoop?
Skis ?
Chain Case gears?
STM Power valves?
Skid? Float or Torsion spring

Id love the complete motor but were at about 3000ft not sure how that set will run here?

M1000 piston in 900 cylinders? Bore and replate?

M1000 piston in 900 cylinders? Bore and replate?

It's a bore/replate, and uses a cylinder shim because the deck height of the M1000 piston is a little taller than the stock 900. It works very well as it's cast pistons, and easy to find parts. All stock Cat parts except the shim.

Do you still have the front spindles?, What are trix spindles just modded stockers with alum. shaft and ski mount? PM if you wish. Thanks Mike

the set up will run very well...all you would have to do is change out the needle jets and the mains. The carbs are equipped with power jets already. change the clutching and you're off...You would however have to run higher octane fuel though. above 8k this sled is potent around 0-3k this baby is sick

Hp of the 975

I have never had one of mine on a dyno but I do know it is stronger than a stock M1000 and is real close to an M with single pipe, V force reeds and high compression head which is claimed to make about 182 hp. Mine also has the reeds, high comp head and a single Black Magic pipe. So this one of Brandon's should be more like 190 to 195.

Hey thanks for the bump John. With the twins, 54mm carbs, porting and flashed CDI shes 200+. The power plant is spoken for right now.

Motor is back on the market. Here is a good collection of pics http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b209/TheCoyote007/975 motor/ can take more if needed.
I am asking $3000 for this motor and everything with it

RKT monohead with high compression domes
Cylinders - Bored to accept M1000 pistons w/pretty radical port work.
2 Brand new factory m1000 pistons (I always send new pistons with my motors)
Bottom end - Crank trued and welded, oil delete kit. All bottom end work done by speedwerx
M1000 recoil adapter and recoil
Shims to raise the cylinders for the m1000 pistons.
Magneto w/housing (carb)
STM mechanical power valves
Boysen Rad Valves
CPC 54mm race carbs (will include jets and set ups for both high and low altitude)
-Also has TPS bracket and TPS on the carbs
-Will include throttle cable and throttle block for carbs
MSD ignition wires for a little extra spark
SLP twins w/front dump jaws stingers
CDI box for high altitude, also have low altitude box available
Will throw in UNI filterpods
Also have an avenger 3 EGT with probes and power wire if interested.

This is a complete, very reliable motor. It is the product of 4 solid years of testing different combinations of parts and brands. Easy to set up, and tune. With the carbs having 3 powerjets with external adjustments on them, you dont have to spend all day with the hood up if the weather gets warmer or colder.

How fresh is it ?? The bottom end that is... Does the engine need carbs that big? NOT nit picking just trying to understand the need. Is there much bottom end loss with this setup?
Thanks,, With the parts I'm gathering it's down to what power plant twin or triple.....
