I broke a fitting last ride on my 900 and lost the coolant.

Just caught it in time before it stuck, but it overheated enough to damage the head o-rings.

When I took the head off there is a light scratch on the exhaust side of the mag side jug.

Should I replace the jug and piston? I just did a complete motor last year and don't want to spend the cash if I don't have to, but don't want any more damage either.

Thanks

got photo?
as long as the piston edge on the exhaust side is ok run it.
as mentioned by other snow westers i went to the local hose and seal shop and picked up a new set of O rings for each cylinder (4) O rings total for 6 bucks. If I would have got them from the cat dealer it would have cost 45 bucks.

the skuffs are ok if you can run you fingernail over it and not have it hang up.
no this isn't what your ideal motor guy will tell you but it will live. you can pull it had go have it honed and check the rings for damage if this makes you feel better.

that's what I figured....

shop mechanic said no, but ya gotta stay in business.

I guess it wouldn't be good if he said run it and it crapped out either.

I'm gonna run it and stay married:D
