I have a 06, 900RMK that tweaked while cruising in the mid range. Compression 105/75, Has any one else had this problem? I suspect a complet
rebuild is needed.

Any addons to the sled??? Pipe maybe? Check intake boots for cracks....lots of false air get through there and cause a lean burn down.

More than likely it won't need a complete rebuild unless you want to spend the money, probably just a top-end. You should check the crank runout to be 100% sure.

What mods do you have done?

Throttlebody boots do crack out which will lead to a lean burn down, the o2 sensor is in the boost box or in the air box (SLP) and will not detect.

Actually, there is no oxygen sensor incorporated into the Cleanfire systems. They have an intake air temperature sensor, exhaust temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, barametric pressure sensor (built into the ECM), detonation sensor and throttle position sensor. Problem could have definitely been caused by a bad throttle body adapter as previously mentioned. I also wonder if the throttle position sensor could cause this issue if it just leaned out the engine in one throttle position.

If this compression is correct 105 and 75 ... the cylinders are in immediate need of a rebuild ... or you're gonna put a hole in the bottom of the case.

Here's a perfect example of punching a hole threw your cases. No loss of compression or warning until the pistons broke.

Definitely a heat seize, mag side scuffed and pto side has some wash,no broken rings. One boot has some cracks, nothing serious. Normal oil consumption. Machine has 1960 miles,SLP can and high flow air kit.

A boot with any cracks is serious because it creates a lean condition and scorches the piston and creating compression loss and eventual piston/ring/wall failure.
