I'll be in the market for a newer sled this year, and am considering a Polaris 800, but I know in the past they have had issues with their engine.

I've never owned a Polaris, and the last one I rode was several years ago on a 11 pro turbo. But with all the positive reviews on the chassis, I want to know more and test ride.

I saw Kelsey at RKT post on facebook about the new pistons in the 800 need a very specific warm up, you'll seize the engine. Anyone have experience with this?

My considerations are the Doo 850, stock, or perhaps a pro turbo, or xm turbo.

Any thoughts. What year of Pol 800 to stay away from?

Thanks for the opinions.

I currently ride a 08 tnytro, 08 stock XP. I have owned a cat 900 turbo, and a m1000 turbo.

Anyone notice how the "lean sieze" practically disappeared since I first speculated on it about 4-5 years ago in the Snowies. Noticed the air locked oil tank that is....
