IF you get one make sure the air intake is sealed up well, tons of threads on that topic. Have 2300 miles on an 08 sled, scored the pistons at 700 due to the air intake not being sealed well. Great motor, if your over 200 lbs , may want to go a little bigger.

you have a link to those threads? I hate the search feature on this website. Just put the slp air horn on and want to see if there have been any issues.

I don't. In a nut shell you need to take the plenum off, seal around the headlight, where the hood meets the dash, and any other spot you can see gaps. If you don't these all lead right into your motor and can do bad things. IE suck in road dirt, in deep dry snow it will suck it in etc etc.

Two 09 700's in the yard right now. Zero issues. Had an 08 700 RMK, also no issues. My 09 is for sale in the classifieds - please buy mine.

I have an 07 D7 with 2800 miles on it. I'm selling it because I bought a D8, but it was bullet proof. No motor work, no break downs, pure fun and always went where all the 800's went.

I never sealed my headlight and never had a problem with it. You will need an HPS can, Better Boards, 19t gear and if you can afford it, change up to Fox Floats.

600 plus miles on mine and no issues, still same belt from new. Will be keeping and adding a turbo vs buying an 800 they just have to many issues for me. Pull and go.

Bought my '08 D7 last March. Just turned 1300 miles on the clock and no issues so far. It's been a real good sled. Was real tempted to pick up an '09 because of the great season-ending deals on them. Still can't understand Poo's thinking on not making the 700 for next year.

I don't think you'll regret getting a 700, unless you're a real big feller. I'm right at 200 lbs. and it drags me around just fine. I came off an '05 800 RMK and the 700 runs just as strong as the old edge.

Good luck.

Polaris is shooting themselves in the foot again by not offering it for 2010. It might not have the balls that the 800 has but it is reliable and just as bulletproof as the 600HO.

Not an 09 but...

Problem with these sleds are they are too reliable;)

Got 1700 miles on my 08 D7 with no problems
750 miles on first belt and almost 1000 on the second belt and still going strong.
re geared it with a 19 tooth top gear, added a 2cool dash vent,Vortech rack and some Better Boards.

Buy one you will not regret it.
I'm right about 190- 200 give or take a couple :beer;:beer;:beer; and it has enough power for me 99% of the time

700 are good

3,000 mile of abuse and my 07 700 runs like a watch. And I have abused it. You will only spend money on it if you want to.
The 800's are over rated. A little more power and a lot more headaches.
The 600's are sweet machines also but not the hot setup for altitude.
