Cooling ?'s on 97 Indy mod project

I want to modify the foot boards on a 1997 indy 600 project I'm working on. What I was wondering is if I add an under tunnel cooler(I have one from a 96 ultra) can I remove the coolers under the boards without causing over heating issues. The sled already has a very aggressive 2" paddle on it that throws snow everywhere, so putting snow under the tunnel is not a problem.

If the cooler from the ultra is the stock style that sticks out the top of the tunnel it probably won't be enough imo I would get a "u" cooler that is larger from Van Amburg.
