Hey guys got a question,

For my price range I can either get a:
2002-2005 rmk 800 159
Usually fully modded, holtz susp ect...
Or
Dragon rmk 900, most are 151 maybe 166 pretty much stock, maybe shocks or a pipe.
Similar miles.

Which would be a better handling/power/get stuck the least sled for a 250 lb guy his 2nd year out west?

This will probably only be a one year affair too, I can get silly good deals on used spring 2015s.
I just need it because itl be cheaper to buy than drop $1500 for a rental.

Can you find a 07' 700 for that upper end of your range?? Nice sled, reliable, I think the only down side would be the WE shocks. If you can pick one up, it wont much if any value in the next year.

That's what I would look for.

Yeah I've been told to go for the m7 before, problem is there's very few cats for sale right now.

I'm based in the MN area, and most dragon 700s I come across are as pricey as the freakin dragon 800s

I'm aware of the engine risks with both platforms. I'm sort of relying on high miles to of worked the kinks out of a 900. And many of the modded 800s have newer cranks.

I think if I find an m7, m8 or dragon rmk 700 for my price I'll jump on it, but just in case I can't which of the poo sleds I originally mentioned would be better?

Don't even consider a 900. Put it out of your mind, don't be tempted, don't even look.

There is no such thing as a Dragon 900... there is an IQ 900, they are NOT the same thing.

Did I mention, stay away from the 900s?
