I have the same sled but with reeds,y pipe, speedwerks pipe, can,bd box, black diamond extreme air intake, and stock gearing. I make 47 mph track speed,@ 7800 - 7900 rpm. What are you getting? I was considering a gear change as well but dont know a damm thing about the diamond drive yet!!

A stock m8 has 57/63, When I spoke with bdx they said for my riding, weight and sled the m8 gears should work the best. I will see when they get here. 7800 t0 7900 seems to be pretty high rpm, I I've been let to belive, with the speedwerx set up you shouldn't increase rpm more than 200 to 300 rpm max. I could br wrong though.

really happy with my 56/64 as far as gearing goes. Still some belt issues though. everythings runs cooler, and i found myself getting stock less with these gears too. No joke, i stopped on very steep side hill between two trees. Thought i was screwed but was able to start inching myself along and then pinned her WFO and kept going. AWESOME! Never was able to do that before!!! :D

What track speed are you getting with your gearing mrquick68 and what RPM WOT. I was told to go to 57/63 gearing as well! Thats should be a 20% reduction yours is even more? I only want to but 1 set of gears with the ression and all.

7700 rpm and around 52mph, but i have a 153". I also believe i've got more to be had with a few clutching changes in the works.

I was going to go for the 57/63s too, but talked with a bunch of people and everyone said 56/64. So i pulled the trigger and they are PERFECT. Honestly, it doesn't seem to feel much different on the trail and still will go 80 mph? What else do i need? I was pulling around 49mph before, so i'm a decent with just the gear change.

47mph seems low I was getting around 50 with a 09 m1000 162 with slp can, d&d shift assist and home made gills for side vents, stock other than that. I have 338miles on a 060 belt and its just starting to fray. Could have been the conditions but it would hit 40mph right away and climb quick to 47 ish and saw as High as 57mph track speed, I was gaining speed in some causes hence the 57mph. Was seeing 55-60mph on my 07 with slp full exhaust and 4" intake. Around 5500-7000 feet elevation.

I'm getting high 7500 rpm and peaking 7800+rpm and think with full exhaust 7600-7800 is right where you want to be.
