Will a 144 16 wide 2.3" lug 2.52 pitch Camoplast Skidoo track fit on a 01 Mountain Cat. What mods will I need to clear the coolers. I currently have a 144 notched 2" lug track driven by anti ratchet drivers (do not remember how many teeth).

You should only have to notch it to clear the coolers. If your drive sprockets are a tooth smaller you might not even have to do that. I think the 01 800 came with 9 tooth drivers.

You are right I have the 9 tooth drivers. It also looks like I will have a clearance problem with the 16 wide track where the 2 aluminum link arms attach the rear skid to the tunnel. However it looks like I can go with larger top idlers to allow the track to ride above the links instead of beside them.

You should also move the front skid mount to the lower holes and then suck your limiter straps up a little. A two inch will clear with the skid dropped but a 2.3 may need a little shaving.

I own a 01 mc that has a 154x 16x 2.5 and it has 7 tooth avid drivers. I am parting out my sled if you are interested. I have a lot of mod parts.

Thanks for the offer but my MC is only a 600 and a 154 might be a bit much, plus it already has been streched from a 136 to a 144 and if I go any more I will need a tunnel extension. Mt plan was to eventually install a better 144 track. Now after all my wife is spending on my daughters graduation I may have to wait.

The 600 will do very well with a 154 but you will need a tunnel extension. I have built several 600's with 153's and one with a 162x2.5. It out himarks the 153's by a fair amount and gets around good.
