I have a similar trailer - 16' + nose, 7' tall. We just insulated and finished the inside, added windows/vents,etc..

I'm thinking about doing cabinets & workbench w/ storage and tool chest below on the right side nose and where your side door is.
Check out www.modulinecabinets.com

Next dilemma is what to use to finish the floor, and how to get a furnace/heater into it.

Best of luck.

MD.

advantage trailer sales in edmonton is where I picked up my helmet rack. It's an open style, reason i like this better than a cabinet is cabinet won't allow helmet to dry. Also, when you install a forced air heater setup in there, you can vent under the helmets and totally dry them out.

I have a 16' Mirage, and I just put a shelf/clothing rack combo in the front part of the V ... amazing how much nicer that one simple thing made that trailer. I plan on putting another one in right next to it, then perhaps one of those oil rack/fold down workbenches in sometime ...

It's kinda cramped with 2 mountain sleds in a 16' trailer, but those racks can really help to clear up the clutter and organize ....

Do search in old forum... Home Depot wire shelving and baskets to hold helmets work well. Also, help airflow to keep things dry.

I found some old office cubicle overhead cabinets that work great. I found a bank that was remodeling and was throwing them away. They are keyed and are the perfect size for helmets and oil and whatever you can stuff into them. The doors flip up and slide on the top. I cut a few soffet vents into the ends for ventilation. They are dimensionally the same as most trailer cabinets that cost a but load of cash.

To hold gear, we use the pick up tailgate nets on our bunks in our camper. You could adapt something like that to the Home Depot shelves. If you are really good, you could make your own out of some parachute cord and bungies.
