Converting XP to Gripper Skis Which Pad?

Hello,
I am putting Polaris Gripper skis on my 2010 XP. Any suggestions on which saddle pad to use-- Skidoo or Polaris?

I have it assembled with the Skidoo pad, but it seems like the vertical ski movement may be too small and too stiff.

Thanks for any input!

I don't have an XP but I will tell you don't use the Polaris rubber. It's junk and wears out quick. It's not wide enough. I wouldn't worry about movement being too stiff. It's stiff with grippers on my proclimb and it's better that way IMO. The ski won't sell you out diving into the pow the wrong way. The ski should still move up and down fine when snow and riding pressure are against it.

after grinding the plastic ribs down flush to use Doo rubbers you need to raise the rubber a tad, I used a 3/16 square piece of rubber , just lay it in and install, some have also used a piece of plastic

Good plan.

Using it with the poo rubber works OK but they do break pretty easy and that sucks. Floppy skis make the front spear in and stick you when carving.

I ran the poo ones last year with no issues... For this year I'm running the doo, I just trimmed a bit off the back of them and fits good

used poo rubber last year, (mostly because I was too lazy to grind down the ribs on the ski) and ski folded back on me here & there, annoying as heck, swapping them out this year
