I know someone had asked this on another thread so here ya go.

This is the 36" kit from zbroz and uses the stock parts except new tie rods and new 10mm shock bolts

Its a refrigeration scale thats calibrated! not a scale from a service van being bashed around i work in a R&D center things are extremely well taken care of here.

I weighed the stock arms with all parts on it inculding the stock shock bolt and tie-rods without the ends (since zbroz has new bolts and new tie-rods) they weighed 11# 5.9oz

I then weighed the swaybar and its brackets, plastic peices and nuts since the swaybar does not go back on with the 36" kit = 1# 11oz

Zbroz same way as the stock everything on them but with the new 10mm bolts washer and nuts and new tie-rods without the ends = 10# 4oz

The bucket was of course tared out

Dang! I hate it when reality sets in (but thanks for saving me the trouble).

Apples to apples equals 1 lb (if your looking to make a 400 lb'er).

Those Polaris guys are really good!

Since the sway bar stays off you actually lose 2#'s 12.9oz. If you went with Wimpy's swedged tubular aluminum tie rods you could likely free up another pound. With TI bolts and TI or Aluminum nuts would free up another 1/2 pound plus. Patrick Carbon is nearly ready to release their CF / Aluminum spindles also. For those on the quest for 400#'s wet RTR!

Thanks for the info. I am going to try this setup on my 13. I figured it would weigh more than stock parts. Nice that it's basically a wash.

However you said that new springs should be added to compensate for the lack of the swaybar with stock shocks, so the added weight and price of those should not be overlooked when making this decision as well, correct?

I was quoting the manufacturer. Apples to Apples comparisons get lost frequently here... Especially when there's money to be made.

Such is the business of SW, it kind of puts me off sometimes.

At least your opinion is based on actually riding on them, even though it goes against the manufacturer's recommendation.

Hopefully they work out for everybody/

Ok so lots of questions let me start with the ones I can remember.
-2013 pro RMK shock length is 16.6" which also happens to be the length of shock Zbroz is using on there new 36" kit. Actually its 16.5" but the stock 13s will still work. Springs however will not you should buy springs from Zbroz to make the kit work right without a sway bar, Sway bar it too wide to be mounted on the new arms.
-2011 and 12 models need an adaptor kit that includes internal spacer and shorter eyelet and Springs
-The kit does work really well on the pro RMKs and after riding one back to back with a 39" stock pro RMK kit I prefer the 36" kit. Paneling out is not as big of issue as you would think and it is made for tight trees and back country riding so take that into consideration.
