Zbroz 39"

Purchased z-broz 39" a-arms this year along 17.5" fox evol r shocks for my 2011 Pro RMK. Install was easy, just swapping a few a-arms.

Set the sled on the ground with 60 psi main chamber pressure to discover it was sitting a substantial amount higher than a stock Pro. The front of the track was also off the ground making me rear suspension sag in excess of 4".

Took it for a test ride and discovered I could not turn full lock in either direction. The spindles were actually getting bound up on the a-arms. So then I realized something is definitely not right because these are, I quote, "These arms are a direct replacement for your stock Pro RMK or IQ RMK A Arms".

Let me also add another important quote from their website. "Requires the use of 17.50" long shock or stock 2011-2012 length".

Called z-broz today to find out they use 17.125" long shocks with those a-arms. How do they not advertise this on their site? I would not be one bit upset if I knew I needed those shocks to begin with! Get your **** together z-broz!

So what am i supposed to do now? Buy another set of a-arms from a different manufacturer, or send my brand new evol's to get shortened? Either way, not happy with what they have advertised and what you actually need.

If the steering binds up, you must have the 36" arms and they also require a shorter shock, so that may explain the raised height as well.

Similar Issue

Your Not alone. I have a 12 Pro and after the 39" kit it made my front end sit higher and the one side does rub a bit on one spindle and my rear suspension is also sagged down a bit, however the i am unsure if my rear suspension just needs to be recharged or is its due to the front end sitting higher?

It's because of the A-Arms. Measure the difference between the stockers and the zbroz. You need shorter shocks to maintain the stock ride height.

I have had nothing but problems with my Z broz arms and shocks on my 2011 pro. I called them and they just ran me around, Not impressed. Finally sold all there stuff. Beware.

I had to trim my spindles on my 12' assault when I put the 38.5" width new style zbroz arms with shortened assault shocks. Mine would hit at full droop with slight steering. I wasn't happy either, but I was able to trim the spindles and have had good luck so far. Here is some pics of before and after:

With some slight trimming and the correct length shocks, these would be great A-Arms. They need to make the customer aware of the correct shock length needed.

You should stop bad mouthing people just to shoot off your mouth.:cheer2:

I had the same issues with the arms on my assault. Called zbroz to see what they recomend to do with the binding issue but never got a call back. I just did a little trimming on the spindle and problem was solved. Would have been nice if this would have been in the install instructions. Other than that no problems and have been working great.

Same problem with my 2012 pro using there arms. I am using 16-7/8" shocks and they still rub at full droop. I am not impressed with there customer service. No complaints on them returning calls or emails. But they don't seem to have a clue. They couldn't even say what length shocks you need for the pro a arms. I also installed a set of 36" arms on a XP for a buddy, was told you just use the stock shock. Not possible. How do you build custom parts and be able to not have an answer for the most important question.

There sway bar link design is horrible as well. The link needs to sit vertical to the ground to actually work properly. On there pro A arms the links end up sitting at full bind and at about a 40 degree angle could snap at any time with the sled sitting at a rest position. You will never see any race car or vehicle manufacture have the link sitting at any kind of an angle other then 100% vertical.

Had the same issue with the XP arms the link ends are not built correctly and the sway bar flips backwards and under the sled?? Seriously do they even try?? This was with 16 1/2" shocks to get the ride height correct. Had to fab up custom links that are 1" longer to make it work.

I won't be buying any more Zbroz products. I think there new focus is UTVs and have let the snowmobile aftermarket slide
