The Sweetwater Snowpokes are please to announce the completion of the new Blind Bull Safety Shelter at Horse Creek. (We'll be taking up new signs and supplies as soon as there is enough snow).

We will host a Dedication and BBQ on January 10, 2009 from noon - 2:00 p.m. We invite you to join us! Mark your calendars now!

AWESOME job on the cabin! Thanks to all that were involved. I ride Alpine a ton but don't get to Blind Bull very often. When we do though, it's always nice to go into the warming hut!!! I spent a few hours in a complete whiteout in the old one about ten years ago. It was alot better than hiding out in the trees!

Was up there yesterday. the snow is starting to get good. It snowed hard all day..

As far as the new cabin. Very nice. If any of you know Chad Chapman from Chapmans welding, give him a pat on the back for building one hell of stove to put in that place. Got so hot it was running people out of the cabin

New Blind Bull

I was at the new Snotel at Blind Bull yesterday, and I was very impressed. Thanks to all that helped fund and build this thing! The warming rack above the stove is a very nice touch. Looks like it gets a lot of use... hopefully no idiots trash it!

One more reminder

The dedication and BBQ is this Saturday! We are BBQ'ing hamburgers and hotdogs, will have hot chocolate, baked goodies, chips, candy, etc. from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Blind Bull Warming Hut.

As of today, the weather says it will be a high of 26 degrees (in Pinedale) and partly cloudy. It's not saying wind at this point . Hopefully, that holds true and sounds like a nice day!
