Yeti Elka vs Raptor shocks

Hey Guys,
Can anybody lend some insight as to how the Elka shocks compare to previous ones, particularly the Raptor shocks or even the Fox.

I feel like the Raptor shocks buck the rear end of the kit up and off bumps. That is to say if feels like there is very little rebound control and they just spring off of bumps and mogul type terrain features. My front forks are built by a reputable fork tuner, so that's not the problem.
Thanks in advance

Its not the shox brand its how they were valved . Any rebuild-able shox can be setup to enhance any particular riding style.

I get that you can do that, but out of the box is my question. My experience with Raptors third RRS shock for the YETI was that it was way undersprung and undervalved. So, I wonder what I'd get back from them if I sent them in to be revalved?

For sure my raptors I had to really crank the springs farther then they recommend for my weight... For me the bucking was cause by being too soft...

At this point I"m about 2-3 additional turns on spring preload and all the way tight and back off 3 on the front shock clicker. Its better but less plush and less playful. The shocks really need more rebound control built into the valve stack, I feel.
