UM, no offence, but that is the dumbest thing I have read all day.
They had and still have forest rangers. They watch for that stuff. They had them stopping speeders and such and I didn't hear of ANYONE riding off the road any of the times I have been up there.

I personally am sick and tired of daddy government thinking and telling me they need to hold my hand to do anything. PEople wonder why visitorship to our national parks and camping areas is down over 60% in the last 30 years, stupid stuff like that is why.

If you make it hard or inconvenient for people to do this stuff, they stop doing it. That is why the greenies win. We let them.

With some of the stupid crap I've heard on here I really find it hard to believe THAT is the dumbest thing you've heard on here all day....or maybe you haven't been to FP yet.

I'm just saying that give people an inch they take a foot and trust me people go off trail and screw around even with the guides around.
I know you think we need less rules and gov't but people have proven time and time again that they are children and can't manage themselves. Yeah it sure sucks for people like us who don't need our hands held but the average american is a duma$$ and needs their hand held....our new president makes that the most obvious.

Don't get me wrong I would love to tour the park on my own without a guide but I wouldn't be getting all the little facts and stories the guides tell you. I truly believe if they got rid of the guide only rule they could kick sleds out so much easier cause people are stupid.
I think this forum has proven that time and time again.
