Y - Pipe - What's It From

Can you help me identify this Y-Pipe? Bought it at Hay Days. Thought it would fit Polaris 700/800 Edge or Pro-X chassis.

Angle is wrong on outlet and the spring hooks are oddly spaced compared to the SLP Polaris whic is at 120 degrees around the outlet.

Thanks for any input you can give me.

SLP usually has a small welded on "tag" on their Y-pipes, they have the P/N stamped on it. Don't see it in the picture. You sure this is SLP?

The Edge and the ProX Y pipes are different. The ProX has the stabilizer bar going across the shock towers, the Y pipe has a pretty noticable difference in the shape to clear that. Right off had I'd say this is an Edge y-pipe.

I've never seen a pipe with the exhaust springs like that. I feel a little better after you said that in that I didn't look super close when I bought it at the swap meet.

I tried putting it on but it was clear that the angle was wrong for mating up to the exhaust pipe. The rount outlet face was tilted slightly down instead of vertical or up.

I'll use a magnifying glass and see if there are any markings.

thanks for your comment.

I'm not sure what all the different angles are for but we just pulled a motor from a 02 edge and put it in a 03 edge and the angle was wrong on that. it was more straight out from the cylinders like the one pictured . We got another one from aguy that was pointed upwards which is what it needed difference between 02/03?

could it be the edge chassis difference between the rmk and the xc chassis? the xc pipe stays down across the shock tower, doesn't have the shocks mounted as high, for the wider ski stance, so the pipe can stay down farther. not sure but that would be my guess.

SLP Update

Here's the SLP response. Thanks.

"It appears to be a Y pipe from an older non VES pipe kit and it will not be compatible with your VES engine for fit or tuning." SLP
